Senior Systems Integration Engineer
Full Time
We are looking for a motivated system integration engineer to provide end-to-end system integration testing excellence to our team. You will be defining and implementing strategies and technologies that ensure seamless integration and high-quality performance of our product.
In this role to ensure success as an integration engineer you should have experience and passion for integrating multi-component systems and testing of new features as well as generating continuous testing suites for regression analysis. The specific duties may include creating test strategy, test procedure and execution of manual test plans, drawing up performance documents, identifying faults, and reviewing reports. You possess high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage projects end-to-end.
This role requires that you value and thrive in a collaborative team environment. You will work in a team environment to devise and execute a comprehensive integration strategy and execution plan. You will apply your strong communication skills to incorporate requirements from a cross-disciplinary team and technology domain. You will collaborate with your team to develop and document suitable processes and procedures within your area.
- Translate product requirements & key product characteristics to test plan and test steps
- Setup the test equipment in the test lab in preparation for testing and executing the test cases during different phases such as system integration, end-to-end product validation, customer field testing etc.
- Integration & testing of the entire satellite user terminal comprising of active phased array antenna.
- Write automated scripts for system and component tests
- Manage the test case to requirements tracking for assigned test plans
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external development partners on cross-functional collaboration and integration.
- Performing field testing in coordination with customers as a part of type approval process leading up to product launch
- Support Product deployment.
- Support Product Certification team as needed
- Assist/Support field issues including travel to customer sites as needed
- Expect up to 15% of travel depending on the phases of the projects
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related fields
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- Bachelor's Degree and eight (10+) years of experience, or Master’s Degree and five (5+) years of experience
- Test plan development based on product requirements
- Experienced in testing satcom products specifically user terminal components
- Strong troubleshooting and triaging skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others to resolve complex problems, work with cross-
- functional teams, resolve conflicts and move projects forward
- Network troubleshooting skills; DHCP, TCP/IPv4 & v6, Sub-netting, routing, VLANs, etc.
- Experience with test management tools and Microsoft Office
- Travel up to 15% domestic or overseas (as needed)
- 3+ years of experience with Linux platforms
- Experience with RF testing and usage of RF equipment like spectrum analyzer, signal generator etc.
- 3+ years of scripting or programming experience (Python, Shell)
- Experience with SharePoint, Confluence and Jira
