Working alongside Senior Antenna & RF Engineer and reporting to the Engineering Manager of L-Band CoE, the Antenna Engineer will design and develop various L-Band antennas within the agreed cost, schedule, performance requirements and quality.
The Antenna Engineer will work closely with other engineers, project management, consultants and engineering teams at Intellian’s UK development centre and Intellian’s headquarters in South Korea to design and deliver Antenna designs suitable for mass production and longevity in the field.
The selected candidate will ensure the antenna designs are completed and documented to a high standard, meet all performance and other relevant requirements, and drive continuous improvement activities to improve performance and quality before moving to mass production.
Related tasks will cover part or all the activities regarding the full life cycle development, including identifying customer needs and mission, requirements analysis, systems engineering, design, development, test and verification, quality assurance support and transfer to production).

Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities:

• Design and document L-Band antenna technology and solutions that meet the requirements of gain, axial ratio, size and weight, manufacturing cost and manufacturability.
• Complete ownership of the development process from concept, through to transfer into mass production.
• Understand and apply an excellent knowledge of trade-offs involved in developing antennas for small and compact terminals.
• Build, test and verify performance of designs in development using a variety of methods including benchtop measurements and anechoic test chamber testing.
• Apply an in-depth knowledge of best practices and engineering judgment to make design decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in antenna development, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
