Prime Purpose

As a Senior RF Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our next-generation SatCom user terminals. This is a role for a true builder—an engineer who is passionate about designing, testing, and perfecting cutting-edge RF/microwave radio transceivers for the Ku and Ka bands.

Working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, you will have a direct impact on a fast-growing global product line. Your work will span the full product lifecycle, from initial design and simulation through hands-on validation, test automation, and final productization. Top Three Skills to Be Successful in This Role:

  • RF/Microwave Circuit Design: Proven experience designing linear and non-linear RF circuits (PAs, LNAs, mixers, PLLs) using simulation tools like ADS, HFSS, or equivalent.
  • Hands-On Lab Testing: Deep expertise in hands-on testing, characterization, and performance analysis of RF components and radios using standard lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.).
  • Test Automation: Proficiency in developing automated test scripts and equipment using Python or LabVIEW to streamline lab measurements and validation processes.
Responsibilities

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Design, simulate, and model high-performance RF front-end systems in collaboration with systems architects and cross-functional engineers.
  • Develop hardware specifications for RF systems and components that guide functional design and development.
  • Design and test complex RF/microwave circuits, circuit boards, and production-ready packages.
  • Identify, evaluate, and validate new RF components for use in next-generation prototypes and production hardware.
  • Perform hands-on characterization and detailed performance analysis of RF radios and their individual components.
  • Develop and support automated test equipment and scripts for lab measurements using Python.
    Collaborate with manufacturing teams on robust test methods and provide engineering support for production scaling.
  • Ensure design compliance with all system and performance requirements through rigorous qualification testing.
Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience designing linear and non-linear circuits such as power amplifiers, LNAs, mixers, filters, and PLLs.
  • 8+ years of hands-on lab experience in testing and characterizing RF/microwave circuits, including amplifiers and PLLs.
  • 5+ years of RF/microwave design experience using tools like ADS, Altium, HFSS, or an equivalent toolchain.
  • Experience with satellite communication technologies and phased array systems is a significant plus.

Technical Skills

  • Strong command of RF/microwave fundamentals and component design (e.g., PLL, VCOs, LNAs, amplifiers).
  • Skilled with RF test equipment: spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers/generators, and network analyzers.
  • Proficient in characterizing RF performance parameters at microwave frequencies.
    Familiarity with digital communication theory and modulation techniques (QPSK, APSK, QAM).
  • Programming experience with Python or LabVIEW for automated testing and analysis.
    Additional familiarity with tools like MATLAB and Jira is desirable.

  • Comfortable with extensive hands-on testing and bench work using various RF lab equipment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for vendor collaboration or manufacturing support.

Pay Transparency

The estimated salary range for this role is $130,000 – $170,000. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, education, and qualifications. Additional elements such as bonuses may apply depending on company and individual performance.
