Harnessing the unmatched speed and reliability of Iridium Certus®, our complete portfolio, the C100M, C200M, and C700 GMDSS Systems, delivers the fastest L-band satellite connectivity available for the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) worldwide. With the launch of the C100M, Intellian is now the only manufacturer in the world to offer a dedicated terminal for every Iridium Certus® service tier.

We are also developing radios, including MF/HF and VHF, and a Navtex solution to meet the full spectrum of GMDSS requirements.

Intellian GMDSS Systems

Harnessing the power and capabilities of Iridium Certus®, Iridium offers the fastest L-band satellite connectivity available for the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) worldwide.

The Intellian C100M, C200M and C700 GMDSS Systems are cutting-edge, truly global GMDSS solutions, fully recognized by the IMO and SOLAS Convention and certified for global coverage, including polar regions. These all-in-one terminals support all three required GMDSS services over Iridium: Distress Alert, Safety Voice, and Maritime Safety Information (MSI). In addition to these critical safety functions, they feature standard voice calling, Long Range Identification Tracking (LRIT), and Ship Security Alert System (SSAS), making them comprehensive solutions for any vessel.

For vessels that already have a C200M or C700 terminal installed, most Flag Administrations will accept upgrading these to a SOLAS-compliant GMDSS system with the addition of an SDT (Safety Display Terminal) and handset. This increases the operational value of the terminal while also delivering commercial savings. The list of Flag Administrations that accept upgrades is shown here.

In high-stress distress situations, an intuitive, simple user interface is paramount; having all critical GMDSS functionalities accessible from one system reduces the cognitive load on the crew, minimizes the chance of errors, and speeds up response time, thereby directly enhancing maritime safety.

Superior Touchscreen

High-resolution 7-inch Safety Display Terminal color with a clean, uncomplicated touchscreen interface. IPS (in-plane switching) gives viewing angles up to 160 degrees for greater visibility across the bridge, making it easier to see what’s on screen. 

Auto Dimming Function 

Both the Safety Control Unit (C100M GMDSS System) and Safety Display Terminal (C200M and C700M GMDSS Systems) feature intelligent automatic brightness adjustment, dynamically adapting to ambient light conditions. This crucial function significantly reduces user fatigue during extended periods of use on the bridge. For enhanced visibility and comfort across varying light conditions, the display offers three distinct themes: Day, Dusk, and Night, which automatically adjust screen and button contrast for optimal clarity. A manual override option is also available, providing the Officer of the Watch with complete control over display settings.

Versatile L-band Connectivity

Beyond its GMDSS capabilities, the C200M and C700 GMDSS Systems also provide reliable non-GMDSS data for stand-alone routine communications, and can serve as a dependable, robust L-band companion to your Flat Panels or VSAT via the below deck unit.
