User Centric Design
In high-stress distress situations, an intuitive, simple user interface is paramount; having all critical GMDSS functionalities accessible from one system reduces the cognitive load on the crew, minimizes the chance of errors, and speeds up response time, thereby directly enhancing maritime safety.
Superior Touchscreen
The C100M GMDSS system includes a high-resolution 7-inch color Safety Control Unit with a clean, uncomplicated touchscreen interface. IPS (in-plane switching) technology gives higher contrast and viewing angles up to 160 degrees for greater visibility across the bridge, making it easier to see what’s on screen.
Auto Dimming Function
The Safety Control Unit features intelligent automatic brightness adjustment, dynamically adapting to ambient light conditions. This crucial function significantly reduces user fatigue during extended periods of use on the bridge. For enhanced visibility and comfort across varying light conditions, the display offers three distinct themes: Day, Dusk, and Night, which automatically adjust screen and button contrast for optimal clarity. A manual override option is also available, providing the ship staff with complete control over display settings.
Comprehensive integration
The C100M GMDSS has been designed for integration with the vessel’s Bridge Alert Management (BAM) system and Bridge Navigation Network, including ECDIS. A printer is available as an accessory if required.

The C100M GMDSS System includes the C100M GMDSS above deck unit, Safety Control Unit (SCU), mounting bracket, handset and cradle, providing everything you need for safety at sea.
Safety Messaging and Safety Voice in a single product
The Intellian C100M GMDSS System prioritizes seafarer safety. A single press of the distress button on the Safety Display Terminal (or on our GMDSS Alarm Box, or GMDSS Alarm Unit) instantly alerts your specified Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Center (MRCC). The system provides immediate status updates, confirming your message has been received and read by the MRCC. Following this, the C100M GMDSS System automatically initiates a voice call to the MRCC, allowing the Officer of the Watch (OOW) to speak directly with rescue authorities.
Ease of installation
The C100M GMDSS supports two types of antenna cable: coax cable and NMEA 2000 cable. This, combined with the format of the system (ADU connected by an antenna cable to the SCU), means that any existing satcom GMDSS system’s antenna cable can be reused if in good condition.
A retrofit plate is available to cover the cutout in the console left by the system being replaced.
Accessories
The C100M GMDSS System includes a complete range of accessories to facilitate a vessel’s requirements. These include a MED-approved Power Supply Unit, Junction Box, GMDSS Alarm Button (single system), GMDSS Alarm Unit (multiple systems) and SSAS buttons. The System supports both serial and Ethernet connections to the Bridge Navigation network.
