Field Support Engineer
  • From day 1 you will be part of a team of enthusiastic people from our technical department where you will receive expedited product training to enable you to work as a Field support engineer.
Your job will include
  • Provide technical assistance to our dealer network and end users
  • Attend vessels to investigate and resolve any issues or concerns
  • Provide reports on identified issues to enable R&D team to develop product

Installation Technician
  • From day 1 you will be part of a team of enthusiastic people from our Technical department where you will receive expedited training to enable you to work as an Installation technician. After completion of this training you will go out in the field as a technician working unaccompanied.

  • Verification of all pre-install work prior to commencing the installation. (according to the requirements provided to the customer).
  • Terminate all system cable’s and connect all equipment in above and below decks positions
  • Commissioning of the system with the service provider
  • Complete the documentation and reports

Responsibilities

    • Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and reports according to monthly close schedule

Americas Field Support Technician/Engineer
Role Overview
  • The Americas Field Support Technician/Engineer is available in Gulf of Mexico or Fort Lauderdale, working within our field support team, providing technical support primarily onboard vessels and also via email and telephone. Travel will be required to facilitate field support activities, predominately (but not exclusively) within the Americas. Primary focus is to support the Americas client base, supporting sales with technical enquiries and dealer development as well as resolving technical issues for the installed product base.

  • A professional approach and dedication to ensuring a timely resolution to Intellian customers, that ensures their satisfaction with Intellian product and Intellian support provision is essential.

  • This position reports directly to the US field support manager.

  • Training will be provided, however a strong self-driven personal commitment for seeking out information and self-development is required. Most learning will take place in the form of on the job learning working alongside other employees.
Specific Roles and responsibilities
  • Telephone and email support
    • All EMEA and Americas field support staff provide backup to the global Intellian support desk
    • This provides a 24/7 support cover that is split between US and Europe
      • Flexibility on working hours is required.
      • All technicians are required to work an out of hours rota to carry support phone
      • Knowledge of the full range of Intellian product to be achieved and maintained
      • Maintain knowledge at appropriate level for marine VSAT and TVRO applications
      • Ensure corporate case management system is completed accurately and timely
      • Ensure any technical concerns are escalated appropriately

  • Sales and operations support
    • Provide technical assistance both in pre and post sales environments

Qualifications and requirements
  • A good practical aptitude for working with Electrical, Mechanical and RF equipment, plus confident interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Maritime knowledge preferred.

    • Experienced in communicating with technical and non-technical staff and field professionals
