Sales Director – Americas
Prime Purpose
  • The primary role for the Sales Director – Americas is to drive growth through strategic business planning, owning the sales pipeline, facilitating the sales process, defining marketing and support requirements, and development of sales channels, both direct and in-direct. Location: TBD
Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of Accounts for all products, ensuring that each territory is governed in a highly reactive and professional manner.
  • Direct the Development of a commercial operating plan (CAP) for accounts including forecasts, sales strategies & tactics.
  • Develop key account sales plans, including competitive position, key stakeholders and strategy to increase market share.
  • Efficient utilization of the back-office and service teams to ensure that each respective customer receives the highest possible level of service.
  • Ensure management is provided with realistic forecasts for each respective account and advising any significant changes in development
  • Conduct regular and timely sales calls to each US account, identifying strategic accounts that require a higher presence to mature effectively.
  • Timely provision of quotations in accordance with pricing guidelines, providing the most effective response and price point for each respective opportunity.
  • Regular review to ensuring the sales pipeline is filled with opportunities at various stages of the sales cycle with effective funnel management for the territory.
  • Regular review of forecasts, pipeline and sales strategies by & with individual accounts ensuring that opportunities are updated.
  • Assessing sales opportunities early in the sales cycle and working effectively to mature each respective sales opportunity.
  • Utilizing a CRM system to ensure manage all sales opportunities and overall account management.
  • Develop a healthy partnership with key decision makers for each respective account
  • Responsible for compiling and presenting sales activity data to counter-parts and management
  • Ensuring that the pricing and margins are at the correct levels considering that the correct approvals are received in line with the company procedures.
  • Reach forecasted sales targets on time and in time.
  • Find new leads and hunt for other opportunities

Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ year sales experience with a solid understanding of the Maritime market.
  • Ideally connected to strategic contacts within the various verticals within the Maritime Industry, including Oil and Gas, Deep Sea and Luxury verticals.
  • A proven and visible track record to reach assigned sales targets.
  • Excellent commercial skills with an ability to think creatively to mature sales opportunities.
  • A high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm and capable of working within a team environment. A positive attitude, co-operative and willing to comply with the company policies and procedures.
  • Must have good business and personal judgment.
  • Professional written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to draw logical conclusions from a limited amount of data available.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to present and manipulate data in MS Excel as required.


TS Field Support - Americas
    The primary focus of the role is to support Intellian customers and products in the field, with operation, installation and configuration of all product; whether that be on board or remotely from the office via telephone and or email.
Responsibilities
    In Field/On board/on site work:
  • Assist Americas based dealer technical enquiries and attendance on vessels
  • Able to perform installation, service and support of Product efficiently, timely and successfully
  • Able to Troubleshoot, diagnose and evaluate operation of product
  • Work with subcontractors, dealers and end-user customers for evaluating technical product related topics
  • Be self-sufficient with travel plans, accommodation and attendance when unable to contact coordination or line manager
  • Report daily to coordination team and line manager
  • Solve day to day case management. Input cases in CRM and track via customer inquiries from phone, email, etc
  • Update and input accurate data in CRM with ensuring CRM accuracy
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all time
  • Attend all jobs with the correct tools and spares
  • Analysis and repair of products returned to facility
  • Limit failed or return of required jobs by maintaining a high success rate
  • Maintain high standard of workmanship and cleanliness on customer site
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, perform risk assessment and maintain required PPE
  • Ability to travel at very short notice anywhere globally
  • Complete and provide RMA forms with stock returns for inventory management
  • Ensuring all approvals are obtained before taking any item(s) from stock
  • Creation, updating and completion of work orders in CRM with clear and concise service reporting
  • Development of documentation for troubleshooting and knowledgebase
  • Control expenditure when travelling
  • Assist other departments to help facilitate sales, such as, but not limited to; product demonstrations, Product recommendations, document or knowledgebase creation, onsite training
  • Be able to work independently
  • Travel 50%

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
  • Maritime/Sat-com certification; GVF, NMEA, MEI.
  • Maritime or offshore Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience working on 3-axis stabilized marine antennas.
  • IT Network troubleshooting skills; DHCP, TCP/IPv4 & v6, Sub-netting, routing, etc.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and using email or telephone.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills of the English language.
  • Must be comfortable working alone and opening/closing FL facility.
  • Able to travel at short notice
  • Able to lift/carry at least 50lbs and climb ladders, masts, rigging, etc.
  • Comfortable working in industrial environment.
  • Good personal safety awareness and Hazard avoidance.
  • Willingness to use forklift (training would be provided).
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Great team player and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Helpful to others.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Docs. Generally, Technology savvy.
